Teacher
Workshops
AAAL has developed a series of hands-on learning workshops
for teachers centered on the value of using
culturally competent methodology to engage
African-American learners.
Building upon discussions and presentations during
our educational conferences, AAAL is currently offering a long-term
teacher training session based on the theme of Reclaiming the Hearts
and Minds of the African American Learner, which includes a seminar
with Gail Thompson, author of Through Ebony
Eyes.
